More Suport from the staff at Pitt Memorial's Family Medicine Program.

The fabulous people at Pitt Memorial Hospital’s Family Medicine Residency Program are selling wristbands (with “Always Believe” and “Never Back Down” written on either side) in effort to support their fellow comrade in arms during medical treatment. Each wristband is $5 and all proceeds go to aforementioned good cause. “We are thankful to any and all who buy these wristbands and wear them in support.” All interested individuals should contact Dr. Daniel Becerra (family medicine intern) at becerrag@ecu.edu.

This is not a request and no one need feel obligated to do anything. Support is given in many different heartfelt ways and is received, loved, and appreciated all the same.

Cheers to the family medicine program for their efforts in support of the cause.

  4. Hello!
I won't pretend that I know you but I really hope you get better and beat that sickness of yours. If what Mookie wrote is any indication of you as a person, Im sure that you can do it.

Good Luck or as we would say here in the north, Lycka Till!

  6. Kati my prayers are with you. I met you at ECU´s Dental Clinic with Dr. Paredes. We were just recently relocated from LSU due to Katrina and had the opportunity to meet you during the initial diagnosis. My best wishes!

  7. I heard about you from mookie. All I can say is that your strength is an example for others to follow. Also know that we probably will never meet or interact in any meaningful way beyond this message I still respect and care for you.
She is able who think she is able.

  8. As a fellow med student, I cannot help but be amazed at how much effort you must put into each day to navigate medical school on top of all of the treatments. Cancer is pretty prevalent in my family, and all of the suvivors have stated that their unwillingness to give in is what brought them to where they are now. We all hope that your unwavering fight grants you the same.

  10. Yeah, you're incredibly blessed to have someone like Mookie as a friend. There's not much I can do from here but wish you luck, although I'd be glad to give a little something if snail-mail-for-wristbands wasn't the only avenue available. I'd recommend Randy Pausch's 'Last Lecture,' but it sounds like you have the motivation thing under control already :)
